A little hint of what

the ice did to us

in January 2007

A tree in front of the historic Holloway House next to Ber Juan Park tipped over under the weight of the ice.

Limbs littered the lawn of the First Baptist Church of Rolla. Downed limbs are a common site throughout the area.

Ice covered fences, trees, power lines and anything else outside.

There's beauty in the treachery of the ice, as the photo above and the two below show.

Trees broke like sticks under the weight of the ice.

Limbs broke from trees on the University of Missouri-Rolla campus.

Above and below, ice covered the barbs of barbed-wire fence, creating icy "barbs."
